Admirable vs. Actionable

Admiring traits in others is common and a good thing to do, however this will be a problem when your admiration turns into a desire to become what you admire.

We need to have role models, goals, and something more to strive for. I find, often, people are admiring traits in others that aren't part of their DNA and they are trying to change themselves to look, act, and sound like someone they weren't intended to be.

You were created with unique gifts. Instead of trying to become someone you're not, why not take some time to discover your unique gift sets and strengths? Once you have done that, then look to others who have honed those skills in a way that truly pleases God.

Then you have the makings of a mentor and a way to more from admirable to actionable. When you strive to enhance the beautiful person you were created to be, you will succeed. Don't seek to be someone else. Once you discover who you truly are and how God truly sees you, you will never want to be anyone but yourself.

we All have someone in our life that we admire. But being able to admire the person God created you to be is the greatest gift! Thank you so much for just that simple reminder of worshiping the creator of the universe and the creator of me.
