An Acorn Takes Time to Grow

I recently had something explained to me about the time something takes to grow that is short, but worth sharing.

We all see the great oak tree and we ask for that. When God hands us an acorn, we are upset and throw it away. We don’t tend to it, but keep asking for the tree. Sometimes God will give us the acorn again, but we have to be willing to see the tree through the acorn.

Plant what is given to you, God’s economy is different than yours. The oak tree won’t take hundreds of years to grow (though it might feel like it). It will take the time it takes to get you in the right place to be useful.
